Renault expands Kiger line-up, makes turbo SUV more accessible

Renault India has expanded the variant portfolio of its compact SUV Kiger, introducing four new variants across naturally aspirated and turbocharged powertrains in a move aimed at making premium features and turbo performance more accessible to customers in the highly competitive B-SUV segment. With the latest update, the Renault Kiger Turbo now starts at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most accessible turbo-powered SUV in the entry B-SUV category. The company has also introduced a new Evolution+ variant across Naturally Aspirated (manual and AMT) and Turbo (manual) versions, with prices starting at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Evolution+ variant adds several premium features including a Smart Access Card with Push Start/Stop, Automatic Climate Control, Wireless Smartphone Replication, Driver Seat Height Adjustment and light embossed fabric upholstery. Renault has expanded its turbo range from three to five variants and introduced a 5-speed manual transmission option in the Techno Turbo variant, offering customers greater flexibility and affordability. The naturally aspirated range has also been widened from six to eight variants.

Commenting on the development, Francisco Hidalgo, Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Renault India, said the company remains focused on making innovation, performance and advanced features more accessible while enhancing the overall ownership experience. The Kiger continues to offer segment-leading features such as a 100 PS turbocharged petrol engine, 205 mm ground clearance, 405-litre boot space and spacious interiors, reinforcing its position as a value-driven offering in the B-SUV segment.
