Xiaomi India has announced the sale of its new Redmi 17 5G smartphone, positioning the device around long battery life, 5G connectivity and an enhanced entertainment experience. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 Mobile Platform and features a 17.53cm (6.9-inch) HD+ display with up to 120Hz AdaptiveSync and up to 825 nits HBM brightness.
The key highlight of the Redmi 17 5G is its 7,900mAh battery, supported by 45W fast charging and up to 22.5W wired reverse charging. The device runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and comes with dual stereo speakers, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection and an IP64 rating. It also supports expandable storage of up to 2TB and includes a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For photography, the smartphone features a 50MP AI dual camera and an 8MP front camera with portrait and night modes.
