Recently The Directorate of Education (S) has released the academic calendar for the 2024-25 session and notified that classes will begin from February 12. According to the notification issued by L Nandakumar Singh, Director, Education (S), the academic calendar will apply to all Government/Government Aided/duly recognized unaided private schools in the State for all classes from I to X. Actually for Class XI and XII, the notification instructed the schools to follow the academic calendar issued by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur.
According to the schedule detailed in the academic calendar, periodic test-I will actually begin from second week of April; summer vacation (all classes) from May 13 to June 2; term test-I from third week of July; periodic test-II from last week of September and final examination (term test-II) from December 2 to December 20 . Meanwhile the calendar has actually marked December 21, 2024 to January 12, 2025 as winter vacation, with declaration of result on January 4, 2025 and admission process for the next session starting from January 6 to January 11, 2025. In reality according to the calendar, academic session 2025-2026 will begin from January 13, 2025.
