A herd of wild elephants wreaked havoc and destroyed standing crops including potatoes and cauliflowers in the Jaldumur area adjacent to Sahudangi. According to reports, wild elephants entered the farmlands at around 2 a.m. in the Jaldumur area near Sahudangi under Binnaguri Gram Panchayat of Rajganj block. During this, the standing crops in the farmlands estimated to be worth thousands of rupees, were damaged by the wild tuskers. Actually in this regard, the locals said that a herd of elephants arrived at the area late at night and destroyed the entire cultivation comprising potatoes, carrots, gourds, and coconuts. Further, the locals actually urged the Forest Department to patrol the area.

Today population of human is increasing in very fast pace but with this we forget to adjust us with the nature. Presently we need to know about nature and animals with our development so that in future we don’t face this type of trouble.
