Pune Gas expands to Northeast, launches experience centre in Gangtok

Pune Gas has launched its ninth Experience Centre in Gangtok, marking a key step in its expansion into Northeast India under the Centre’s ‘Act East’ policy. The facility was inaugurated in the presence of Chairman and Managing Director Jaisinh Sampat and Executive Director and CEO Jesal Sampat, along with franchise partners Sanjay Jain, Prince Jain and Karan Jain. The event was attended by guests of honour including Sundeep Malu, Sara Lama and Amar Agarwal.

The centre will showcase advanced solutions such as LPGenius, a smart LPG system ensuring full fuel utilisation, and FuelFusion, a dual-fuel technology aimed at reducing diesel use and emissions. It will also offer end-to-end gas pipeline infrastructure solutions for commercial and industrial users. Sikkim, with its growing tourism sector and expanding commercial activity, is emerging as a key market in the Himalayan region. Government-backed infrastructure push and increasing tourist inflow are expected to drive demand for efficient energy systems.

In Gangtok, the city’s evolving hospitality and service sectors are creating demand for reliable and cleaner energy solutions. The entry of Pune Gas is expected to support local businesses with cost-efficient and sustainable infrastructure, helping the Gangtok market transition away from conventional fuel systems while improving operational efficiency. Speaking on the expansion, Jesal Sampat said the Northeast holds “immense potential” and energy infrastructure will be central to its growth trajectory.
