Prime Minister Modi address to students at the second ‘Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh’

Shri Narendra Modi delivered a live address at the second ‘Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh’, an annual skill convocation ceremony organized by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, and Minister of State for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Electronics & Information Technology, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, attended an event attended by various officials, dignitaries, and students.

The event was attended by the Secretary of Department of Higher Education, Department of School Education & Literacy, Secretary of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Chairman of National Council for Vocational Education and Training, Prof. T. G. Sitharam, and Prof. M. Jagadesh Kumar. The Prime Minister praised the Kaushal Dikshant Samaroh festival for its uniqueness and commendable initiative of joint convocation of skill development institutions across India.

He acknowledged the presence of thousands of youth connected through technology and conveyed his best wishes to all the youth at the event. The Prime Minister noted that new possibilities are being created for the youth as India’s economy is expanding. He said that employment creation in India has reached a new height and the unemployment rate in India is at its lowest level in 6 years according to a recent survey.
