Polycab India Limited, India’s leading wires and cables manufacturer and a fast-growing player in the FMEG segment, marked Electricians’ Day 2026 with a nationwide outreach programme that engaged more than 10,000 electricians and their families across over 900 locations in the country.
The initiative, held around Electricians’ Day on June 10, sought to recognise electricians as key contributors to India’s electrical ecosystem and promote awareness about their role in ensuring safe and reliable electrical systems. As part of the campaign, Polycab highlighted electricians as “Electrical Safety Experts” through a social media outreach programme encouraging consumers to acknowledge their contribution to safe homes and workplaces.
The celebrations featured ‘Samman Samaroh’ events in multiple cities, bringing together electricians and their families for recognition ceremonies, leadership interactions and community activities. Polycab also partnered with Agilus Diagnostics to organise preventive healthcare camps for participating electricians.
Commenting on the initiative, Ishwinder Singh Khurana, CEO – B2C, Polycab India Limited, said electricians remain central to the company’s vision of building safe and reliable electrical ecosystems, adding that the company is committed to supporting their professional growth, safety awareness and long-term development.
In Kharagpur, the initiative is significant as the city continues to witness steady growth in residential, commercial and infrastructure projects. Industry observers note that skilled electricians are increasingly critical to supporting expanding electrical networks and ensuring safety standards, making industry-led engagement and training programmes relevant for the region’s evolving development needs.
Polycab said its long-term efforts include recognising over 2,000 electricians nationwide, providing medical insurance coverage to more than 8,000 electricians and spouses, and strengthening its Polycab Experts Program, which now connects over 2.5 lakh electricians and retailers across India.
