Optimist, India’s super energy-efficient air conditioning brand, has expanded its presence in Kolkata with its smart AC range, targeting consumers seeking efficient cooling, lower electricity consumption and technology-led features.
The company launched its first air conditioner range in June across Bengaluru, the National Capital Region and Hyderabad. It is now expanding into other major markets, including Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Pune. Optimist ACs are available through Amazon and its official website, alongside growing brand stores across key cities.
Ashish Goel, Co-Founder and CEO, Optimist, said Kolkata’s long, hot and humid summers create significant cooling demands and that the company aims to combine powerful cooling with energy efficiency, intelligent monitoring and technology that helps consumers track AC performance.
The AC range has an ISEER rating of 6.05 and is designed to deliver 25–35% lower electricity bills while maintaining consistent cooling. Available in 1.4 Ton capacity, the ACs can provide stable cooling at temperatures of up to 50°C, supported by a micro channel heat exchanger, optimised thermal architecture and twin-rotary inverter compressor.
Turbo+ technology provides up to a 1.9-Ton power boost, while a built-in gas-level indicator, app-based controls, diagnostics and predictive service alerts offer additional monitoring features.
The range comes with a five-year comprehensive warranty and a 10-year compressor warranty.
