Nissan Motor India Private Limited (NMIPL) has unveiled the all-new TEKTON, a premium C-SUV positioned as a cornerstone of its India resurgence strategy, with introductory prices starting at Rs 10.49 lakh for the T160 Manual Transmission range and Rs 14.99 lakh for the T280 Manual Transmission and T280 DCT variants. The launch marks Nissan’s second product introduction in India in 2026 and strengthens its presence in one of the country’s fastest-growing passenger vehicle segments.
Manufactured at Nissan’s Chennai facility under the company’s “One Car, One World” philosophy, the TEKTON will cater to the domestic market while being exported to regions including the Middle East and Africa, reinforcing India’s strategic role in Nissan’s global manufacturing and export network.
The premium SUV features a 100% turbocharged engine lineup comprising the Turbo T160 and Turbo T280, delivering up to 163 PS of power and 280 Nm of torque. The model also offers Google built-in connectivity with Google Maps, Google Assistant, Google Play and access to more than 200 apps, over 55 connected features through the MyNISSAN App, a class-leading 700-litre boot, dual digital displays and premium tri-tone interiors inspired by Japanese craftsmanship.
The TEKTON is equipped with six airbags as standard, more than 40 safety features and over 17 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) technologies, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking and Lane Keep Assist. With bookings now open across Nissan’s retail and digital channels, the TEKTON is expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing the company’s premium SUV portfolio while supporting its long-term growth, localisation and export ambitions from India.
