Nestlé India and Dr. Reddy’s forge partnership to expand nutraceutical offerings nationwide

Nestlé India Limited and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd have announced a definitive agreement to establish a joint venture. The partnership, set to be headquartered in Hyderabad, will facilitate the distribution of innovative nutraceutical brands across India and other designated territories.

The joint venture, termed the “JV Company,” marks the convergence of Nestlé Health Science’s global nutritional health solutions with Dr. Reddy’s established commercial prowess in India. By combining their strengths, the JV Partners aim to enhance their portfolios in key categories such as metabolic health, hospital nutrition, general wellness, women’s health, and child nutrition, catering to diverse consumer needs across the country. Under the agreement, select brands from both entities will be licensed to the JV Company. Nestlé Group will contribute renowned brands such as Nature’s Bounty, Osteo Bi-Flex, and Optifast, while Dr. Reddy’s will offer brands like Rebalanz and Celevida.

Expressing enthusiasm about the collaboration, Mr. Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director of Nestlé India, highlighted the joint venture’s commitment to delivering science-backed nutritional solutions to a wider audience. He emphasized the partnership’s role in strengthening the retail and distribution network to better serve consumers and enhance their quality of life. Similarly, M.V. Ramana, CEO of Branded Markets (India & Emerging Markets) at Dr. Reddy’s, lauded the partnership’s potential to improve access and affordability of health products, underscoring the shared commitment to promoting good health.
