The Maruti Suzuki Fronx made its debut in India in 2023 and has since become one of the company’s best-selling models. It has also established itself as a popular choice in the compact SUV segment. Maruti Suzuki is now working on the 2026 Fronx facelift, which is expected to bring updates to its styling, features and powertrain.
The upcoming Fronx facelift has already been spotted testing on Indian roads. The spy images indicate that the overall shape and silhouette of the SUV will remain largely unchanged. However, the new model is expected to feature redesigned front and rear bumpers, along with an updated grille. Apart from these changes, the overall design is likely to remain similar to the current version.
The biggest updates could come in terms of features. The 2026 Fronx facelift is expected to get a Level 2 ADAS package. The test mule was seen equipped with an ADAS module, a 360-degree camera and additional front parking sensors. Other expected additions include a larger touchscreen infotainment system, upgraded upholstery, a new steering wheel and more premium cabin elements.
There could also be changes to the powertrain lineup. The test vehicle was spotted with an all-wheel-drive setup, raising the possibility of an AWD version being introduced with the facelift.
The SUV is expected to continue with its current engine options, including a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor. The naturally aspirated unit produces 80hp and 113Nm, while the turbo-petrol engine develops 99hp and 147Nm of peak power and torque, respectively.
