Justdial has partnered with Assam Industrial Development Corporation Limited (AIDCL) to digitize micro food processing enterprises under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) plan, marking a significant step towards digitization.
The agreement/MOU includes a three-year schedule in which Just Dial and AIDCL will collaborate to support the PMFME scheme’s objectives. Justdial will digitize micro-food processing firms registered under the PMFME scheme, while AIDCL will partner with them and exchange vital information. The strategic agreement aims to enhance these companies’ digital presence and competitiveness in the unorganised food processing industry. Commenting on the partnership, Sri DhrubajitSarma, State Lead, PMFME, AIDC Ltd. said, “We are looking forward to work with Justdial in assisting these businesses with creating a digital presence, Assam has a growing market of food processing units and the PMFME scheme enables us to not only support the industries financially but also assist them in Marketing initiatives such as this.”
The PMFME scheme, launched by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) in collaboration with state/UT governments, aims to enhance the competitiveness of micro-enterprises in the unorganised food processing industry, while also supporting Farmer Producer Organisations, Self-Help Groups, and Producers Cooperatives throughout their entire value chain.
