ITC Mangaldeep has launched ‘HarBhaktShri Ram Tak’, a digital initiative aimed at making devotional experiences at Ayodhya Ram Mandir more accessible to visually impaired devotees through technology and collective participation.
Inspired by the Ram Setu, the initiative invites devotees across India to write “Ram” in their respective vernacular languages on a dedicated digital platform. Using contour detection technology, the initiative seeks to mobilise symbolic contributions towards developing a tactile and Braille-enabled navigation pathway at Ayodhya Ram Mandir, helping visually impaired devotees navigate the premises with greater independence.
Each digital participation will also contribute to the illumination of a diya at SarayuGhat, linking individual expressions of faith with a collective celebration of devotion during Deepotsav.
The initiative builds on Mangaldeep’s Sixth Sense programme, which focuses on making experiences more inclusive for people with visual impairments.
Rohit Dogra, divisional CEO of ITC’s Matches and Agarbatti Division, said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to making devotion accessible to everyone and fostering a sense of inclusion through technology.
Mangaldeep has previously supported Ayodhya’s Deepotsav through initiatives such as Khushboo Path and Digital Deepotsav, which saw more than 1.3 lakh digital diyas translated into physical diyas.
The latest initiative aims to extend this approach by combining digital participation with on-ground accessibility measures.
Devotees can participate through the initiative’s microsite, ayodhyamangaldeepotsav.com.
