In Siliguri thief caught in the act of stealing ATM battery

Recently the vigilant officers of Siliguri police station successfully thwarted a theft attempt, capturing a thief red-handed. Actually the accused identified as Subir Sarkar (53), has been apprehended while attempting to steal a battery from an ATM located in the Subhas Pally area. According to police sources, the incident unfolded on Tuesday when the undercover cops on patrol heard suspicious noises emanating from the aforementioned ATM. Upon investigation, they spotted Subir in the act of tampering with the ATM’s battery. Prompt action led to his immediate arrest. Subsequently, police recovered stolen batteries from three other ATMs in his possession.

Notably, Subir, also known as Bocha, has a history of criminal activities. Earlier in March, he was apprehended by Panitanki and Siliguri police for similar offenses at an ATM. Despite a brief stint in jail, Subir actually resumed his illicit activities upon release. However, the police once again thwarted his plans. Right now accused Subir has been presented before the Siliguri court as the police continue their investigation into the matter.
