Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) has expanded its presence in India’s rapidly growing digital infrastructure security segment after securing a mandate from Yotta and NTT Data Center to deploy its integrated Key Management Solution with Genetec platform integration.
The mandate, initially awarded for one data centre, was subsequently expanded to multiple facilities following a successful live demonstration that showcased centralised key management, operational efficiency, enhanced security and compatibility with existing and future versions of Genetec software.
Godrej said its integration capabilities and partnership with Genetec helped secure the opportunity, with the company claiming to be the only organisation in India currently integrated with the security platform.
The expansion comes amid rapid growth in India’s data centre industry, driven by artificial intelligence, cloud computing, digital payments, enterprise digitisation, e-governance and data localisation. India’s operational data centre capacity is expected to exceed 3 GW by 2028, increasing demand for resilient and integrated security infrastructure.
The Security Solutions business of GEG is targeting ₹50 crore in revenue from the data centre segment over the next two years through its portfolio of integrated security, key management, access control and infrastructure protection solutions.
In Guwahati, the development is significant as the Northeast’s digital infrastructure ecosystem continues to evolve. Growing demand for cloud services, government digitisation, digital payments and enterprise connectivity could create opportunities for advanced security and access-management solutions as data infrastructure investments expand in the region.
