French Ambassador to India, Thierry Mathou, visited the Himalayan Zoological Park in Sikkim's Bulbuley area on Wednesday as part of his recent tour. Mathou and his delegation were warmly received by Pradeep Kumar, Secretary and Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) for the Forest and Environment Department, along with other officials, who introduced them to various conservation projects underway. One key initiative presented was the "My Child from the Wild" program, an animal adoption scheme designed to foster public involvement in wildlife conservation.
