Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma directed Assam Police to hold inspection for teachers who came from outside Assam to teach Madrasas . The teachers will have to appear in nearby police station from time to time when asked. According to the reports, police cracked down on alleged modules of terrorist organisation Ansarul Bangla Team, and 51 Bangladeshis were discovered among the preachers at Madrasas. There are about 3,000 registered and unregistered madrassas in Assam. A checklist is prepared for Madrasas and also the state is to enter into an agreement with stakeholder of Assam.
