A girl from Duliajan went missing on January 1; she had gone to tuition and didn’t return back. A missing complaint was filed by her father at Duliajan Police Station of Dibrugarh district. Five people set a police station on fire; homes got demolished by the police

Police inspection for madrasas teacher in Assam

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma directed Assam Police to hold inspection for teachers who came from outside Assam to teach Madrasas . The teachers will have to appear in nearby police station from time to time when asked. According to the reports, police cracked down on alleged modules of terrorist organisation Ansarul Bangla Team, and 51 Bangladeshis were discovered among the preachers at Madrasas. Assam Government approved the merger of four districts

On Saturday, four districts were merged with the approval of the Assam Government. These districts were too curved out in recent years originally.
