Eminent poet and Jnanpith awardee Padma Shri Neelmani Phookan died of heart attack at GMCH. The Chief Minister of Assam could not attend the funeral as he was in New Delhi following the schedule. On Wednesday, forest officials said that one-horned rhino was spotted in the area of Pava Reserve Forest in Lakhimpur district of Assam.
