Food poisoning case in Assam

On Friday, a report was circulated of a person who happened to die due to food poisoning in Goalpara district, Assam. Along with the death, 158 others fell ill which is also due to food poisoning in the same district. Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Goalpara, Khanindra Choudhury submitted a report about the incident, that at least 158 persons were admitted to the hospital while one person died on Friday morning. “We are investigating if the person died due to food poisoning or due to other reasons. ‘Digitising Asom’ project in Assam

To preserve Assamese literary treasures books and journals back from 19th century to get digitized in Assam through a project started by Assam government. This project is going to help people to know Assam and its contribution in the country. Expert committee formed for polygamy

Recently, Assam Government has decided to ban polygamy in Assam. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa have stated about the proceedings to get started soon. V&AC team trapped another public servant

On Wednesday, The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (V&AC) wing of Assam Police caught another government official accepting bribe from a complainant and arrested the accused public servant.
