Aditya-L1 successfully launched, India

On Saturday, ISRO launched its mission to the Sun, PSLV-C57 carrying Aditya-L1 spacecraft, India’s first solar space observatory successfully. Detailing, PSLV lifted off from the second launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota at 11.50am. It was PSLV’s 59th flight and 25th mission with an XL configuration. Aditya-L1 mission will study coronal heating, solar wind acceleration, coronal mass ejections (CME), dynamics of solar atmosphere and temperature anisotropy. Minister of state for science and technology, Jitendra Singh said, "Congratulations India, congratulations ISRO. While the world watched with bated breath, it is indeed a Sun time moment for India.”…
