The lower house of Nepal's parliament on Saturday unanimously passed the historic Second Constitution Amendment Bill guaranteeing legal status for the updated political map of Nepal which includes India's territories in Pithoragarh district. June 13.2020: The monsoon set foot in Calcutta on Friday, bringing formidable rain along with it, unlike the meek entries over the past few years. The strong monsoon currents were attributed to a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal. Nabanna sanitisation for two days

June 13.2020: Bengal secretariat Nabanna will be closed for sanitisation on Monday as at least seven people who visited the 15-storey building in the past one week tested positive for Covid-19. “Of the seven patients, six were drivers of senior government officials and another was a police officer. 200 safe homes for migrant patients

The Mamata Banerjee government has decided to set up 200 safe homes in Bengal to keep Covid-19 migrant workers with no symptoms or with mild symptoms as part of a move to stem the disease’s spread in rural areas. “As of now, there are 5,587 active cases in the state. Of which, around 3,000 are migrant workers who are either asymptomatic or with mild symptoms. Two militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district in the early hours of Saturday, police said.Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Nipora area of Kulgam in south Kashmir following specific information about the presence of militants there, a police official said. Earlier this week, security forces killed 14 militants in three major operations in South Kashmir.
