India govt banned TikTok, Shareit, UC Browser 59 Chinese apps. The move came amid tension with China following the June 15 clashes at Ladakh in which 20 Indian soldiers died in action and more than 70 were injured. In a statement, the government said the apps were blocked "in view of information available they are engaged in activities which is prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order".

The Dutch government started an auction Monday of new 5G wireless frequencies, with telecom companies bidding so they can provide customers with the faster mobile communication networks. The government says the online auction of 700, 1,400 and 2,100 megahertz frequencies could last days or longer and will raise a minimum of 900 million euros ($1 billion). Lockdown Extension in Maharashtra

New Delhi: A day after Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray clarified that restrictions will continue even after June 30 across the state, the Kalyan-Dombivli municipal corporation has announced complete shutdown in 33 of the total 160 containment zones. Notably, more than 3,300 cases have been reported from Kalyan and Dombivali so far. Following the shutdown only essential services will be allowed and other activities would remain restricted in these areas.
