The Assam Government hold Cabinet meeting on November 16 and during the meeting the decision was taken about merging  class 10th and 12th boards in Assam. Currently, it is the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) for Class 10 and the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) for Class 12, after the merger the board will be called the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB).
