The country's financial capital reported 1,033 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday from tests conducted on Monday. The doubling rate in the city is 68 days now and Mumbai's recovery rate is at 73 per cent. The overall growth rate of coronavirus cases in Mumbai from July 20 to July 26 was 1.03 per cent. On a day Mumbai recorded its highest coronavirus testing figures with almost 9,000 tests, only around 700 positive cases were reported from these tests. New Delhi: The Indian government has banned 47 more Chinese apps, after 59 China-based apps were banned in June-end. The order to ban the 47 apps was issued on Friday, sources said. Covid-19 test results in 36 minutes

Scientists in Singapore have developed a method to improve the speed of obtaining Covid-19 laboratory test results in 36 minutes or by up to four times. The new method, developed by scientists at the Nanyang Technological University's Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, has demonstrated a way to improve “the speed, handling time and cost of Covid-19 laboratory tests”, the university said on Monday.
