Assam Rifles Patrol team escapes attack in Manipur

Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast was triggered on targeting Assam Rifles vehicle in Manipur's Tengnoupal district on Thursday where Kuki and Meitei ethnic communities broke massive violence in the region. According to the sources, a patrol of the 20 Assam Rifles Battalion, comprising 10 personnel was out on a routine area domination patrol early Thursday morning. The personnel were in a mine protected vehicle when the Rifles were attacked at the spot. However, the attack was done by some unidentified insurgents; the investigation is underway for the attack. Police initiates probe on Atul Bora’s death threat
