Tax policy to celebrate Bihu introduced

Assam Government has recently announced about introducing tax policy for any kind of events, celebration in the state. According to the sources, the new regulation fees policy includes Rs 300 for cultural events like Bihu, Rs 2,000 for political rallies, and Rs 5000 for trade fairs. Also, charges for construction permissions, petrol pump openings, and employment verifications have also been specified. Due to the new fee regulation implementation, there has emerged criticism against the leading BJP government. The opposition party, Congress has accused the government saying the led-BJP government is burdening citizens to run the debt-ridden government.

Seven Bangladeshi nationals detained in Assam

Seven Bangladeshi nationals who entered India from a location close to Agartala in Tripura and they were detained in Assam while on the way to Delhi. The detained Bangladeshi identified as Sahida Begum, Abdul Wadud Mandal, Babul Sardar, Sarmin Begum, her three minor sons Ismail Sheikh, Shakil Sheikh and Shakib Sheikh. Communication established with trapped men, Tunnel case

An incident took place on Uttarakhand district where a tunnel got collapsed due to landslide and with that trapped several workers inside on November 12. Assam State Zoo-cum-Botanical Garden known as Guwahati Zoo, welcomed a female giraffe calf on Sunday. Hen’s rectum was used to burst crackers, terrific death

Class 10th, 12th boards to get merged and create ASSEB

The Assam Government hold Cabinet meeting on November 16 and during the meeting the decision was taken about merging class 10th and 12th boards in Assam. Currently, it is the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) for Class 10 and the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) for Class 12, after the merger the board will be called the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB). According to the sources, the decision to merge the boards and the council into one single entity has been made to develop, regulate and supervise the standards and quality of school education in Assam.
