Assam Rifles and Police joint operation to detect illegal weapons in Manipur

An operation was carried out in Manipur by Assam Rifles in collaboration with local police of the state to detect weapon smuggling since the violence hit on Monday. According to the sources, the operation was carried out in the Loiching range of Kangpokpi, Manipur in which the authorities have successfully caught a cache of illegal weapons and war-related supplies. The illegal weapons that were smuggled into that state included an AK-56 rifle with two magazines, a single-shot barrel rifle, a Chinese grenade, a mortar round, 100 rounds of AK-56 ammunition, and seven fired cases from a single-shot barrel rifle.

Supreme Court announcement for Manipur violence hit students

Govt school students to get 5% quota in engineering colleges

Assam Government has decided about reserving 5% seats in engineering colleges for the students who have pursued schooling from government schools in the state, Assam. Assam finds grappling surge of HIV-positive cases in the state, rapidly over past three years specially among injecting drugs users. HS meritorious students rewarded scooters, Assam

Assam students who appeared for Higher Secondary Examination, 2023 and scored above 60% and 75% respectively have been rewarded scooters by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at the Veterinary College field in Khanapara, Guwahati on Thursday.
