The Uttar Pradesh government on November 24 approved the draft of a stringent law to deal with religious conversion for the sake of marriage, which BJP leaders refer to as “love jihad“. An official spokesperson said the approval for the ordinance was given at a meeting of the State Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow. Himachal Pradesh imposes night curfew in four districts from November 24

The Himachal Pradesh government on Tuesday imposed an indefinite statewide curfew to combat coronavirus after it was found that many people defied the lockdown orders. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said the curfew will come into force in all 12 districts of the hill state at 5 pm on Tuesday. PM Modi to chair virus review meet with CMs on November 24
