Supreme Court directs on Manipur violence

Manipur witnessed immense violence for months in the state; the Supreme Court has finally directed to take charge for Special Investigation Teams (SITs) for the violence in the state, Manipur. Two Assam Police officers will be placed to probe the violence. Police arrest man for beheading tea plucker in Assam

A man from Tinsukia district, Assam beheads a woman tea plucker, after the crime the man tried to flee but later surrendered in front of the police. As per investigation the intension of the crime is not yet clear. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 2019 has decided to strip disputed Jammu and Kashmir’s special status as a semi-autonomous region as the decision was necessary for the moment and temporary. Due to which the regions were separated to two federal territories, Ladakh and Jammu-Kashmir, both ruled directly by the central government without a legislature of their own. Assam’s Ahom maidams to be Indian’s entry for UNESCO Heritage
