Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 2019 has decided to strip disputed Jammu and Kashmir’s special status as a semi-autonomous region as the decision was necessary for the moment and temporary. Due to which the regions were separated to two federal territories, Ladakh and Jammu-Kashmir, both ruled directly by the central government without a legislature of their own. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced about inclusion of tribal language textbooks for Assam Primary School under New Education Policy (NEP) which is to get started by next year. On Thursday, Guwahati, Assam has witnessed earthquake measures 3.5 on the Richter scale, the tremors were felt in the region at 5:42 am.The National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported that the epicenter was located at latitude of 26.63 and a longitude of 92.08, with the NCS indicating that the tremors occurred at a depth of 5 km.
