Assam man rape’s 52 year old woman

An Assam native was arrested by Kerala police for allegedly raping a 52 year old woman belongs from Alappuzha district. According to the sources, the accused raped and injured the four days ago on December 13. The woman worked as a daily wage laborer at a railway station, the accused took her saying he would take her to a nearest station. Later, he took her in an isolated area and raped her brutally. The accused is an Assam native who is 32 years old lives Koch and is fluent in Malayalam, the survivor said to the police.

21 districts madrasa converted to general schools in Assam

The Assam government has decided to convert madrassas into Middle English (ME) schools which were functioning under the funds of the government. According to the sources, 1,281 madrassas which were located in Lower Assam Region and Barak Valley were converted into general schools of 21 districts of the region, Assam. The Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through X post said, Taking a step towards converting all government and provincialised Madrassas into regular schools, @SchoolEdnAssam has changed the names of 1,281 ME Madrasa into ME English.”

ULFA-I claims another attack at Jorhat, Assam

A mild blast was reported at an Army Camp of Lichubari in Assam’s Jorhat district and United Liberation Front of Asom (I) has claimed its responsibility for the blast, on Thursday. Police arrest man for beheading tea plucker in Assam

A man from Tinsukia district, Assam beheads a woman tea plucker, after the crime the man tried to flee but later surrendered in front of the police.
