Manipur student body demands penalty for exams violators

A student pressure group in Manipur on Thursday demanded a special law with individuals and officials involved in misconducts in examinations by categorically awarding penalty , a long pending demand of the student bodies. Democratic Students’ Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) informed that recently Manipur Human Rights Commission (MHRC) has directed the state government to frame such law. Two new COVID cases in Meghalaya

Two new COVID-19 cases were detected in Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills district, while one more recovered from the viral infection in the district on Thursday.  Meghalaya has registered 13, 985 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 148 deaths and 13, 817 recoveries so far, while the number of active cases as on date was 20.  Of the 3, 81, 349 persons tested for COVID-19 till Thursday, 3, 67, 364 persons tested negative for the virus, even as 13 persons were in institutional quarantine and seven persons in home isolation in the State, which had one containment zone.  On the other hand, 16,015…
