Rahul Gandhi resumes yatra in Guwahati, Assam

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who started his yatra from Manipur was folded by the public in Guwahati, Assam. To reports, the party members resumed their from 9 am to be continued till 4 pm on Tuesday. However, Assam police has urged people to not make the situation chaotic as there will be changes of traffic rules on National Highway no. 27 ahead of 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ through the city from Jorabat-Khanapara-Basistha Chariali-Lokhra-Garchuk-Jalukbari.

Assam govt to introduce anti-cheating bill in upcoming budget session

Assam Cabinet ministers will be introducing a new bill in the upcoming budget session of the Assam Legislative assembly. According to the reports, the new bill is related to public examination which is to curb the use of unfair practices like cheating. The Cabinet said, "The Assam Public Examination (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Bill, 2024’ will be introduced, aiming to prevent leakage of question papers and cheating during the exam." Further, the session is to take place on February 5, 2025.

According to the reports, the student is identified as Saiyam Mazumdar who is from Guwahati, Assam. He is a professional snake rescuer and wildlife conservationist and also a dog rescuer. Below 16 children cannot enroll in coaching institutes

The Indian Education Ministry has issued new guidelines for all the coaching centre that are operated in the nation due to concern over students' rising cases. The guidelines says, coaching centres can no longer enroll students below 16 years old. Excessive charges and no deceptive assurance of securing guaranteed rank in the country will be allowed. ASER survey: Children use smartphone for entertainment purposes more than studies

Annual Status of Education Report (ASER 2023) has conducted a survey for Assam students from the age groups of 14-16 and 17-18. As per the survey revelation, a worrisome trend has emerged that children using smartphones, exhibit higher inclination towards more entertainment than their studies. The survey says from basic reading research: Among students aged 14–16 surveyed in Assam, only 56.9% can read a Standard II-level text in regional language, with a breakdown of 49.1% for males and 62.7% for females. 42 lakh beneficiaries of ration card, Assam

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has officially launched the ceremonial distribution of ration cards under National Food Security Act (NFSA). According to the reports, over 42 lakh beneficiaries has received the card which was held in Guwahati. The Assam CM has informed that every card holder of the state is eligible for for monthly allocation of 5kg rice without any cost. President Murmu visit to Assam cancelled

President of India Draupadi Murmu was about to visit Assam's Karbi Anglong district on Wednesday but the trip got cancelled due to bad weather. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed by saying, "the president could not come to the festival due to bad weather. Due to inclement weather conditions, even I had to start at 4 am today."
