Uttarakhand’s Joshimath Listed in Sinking Zone, Over 60 Families Evacuated: Report

Joshimath has been listed in a landslide-subsidence zone and more than 60 families residing in destroyed houses in the sinking town have been shifted safely to temporary relief centres, a senior official told on Sunday. Ninety more families are left to be evacuated. The local administration has established relief centres at four-five places in the Himalayan town, Sushil Kumar, Garhwal Commissioner told .
