A low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal has intensified into a cyclonic storm 'Jawad', the India Meteorological Department said on Friday. The cyclonic storm is likely to reach the west-central Bay of Bengal off the coast of north Andhra Pradesh and Odisha by Saturday morning, the IMD said. 10 Omicron suspects admitted to Delhi’s LNJP Hospital

Strong earthquake of 6.1 magnitude hits India-Myanmar border; tremors felt in Kolkata, Guwahati

A shallow and strong earthquake of magnitude 6.1 was felt in India-Myanmar border. The quake was reported at 5.15 am with its epicentre at a depth of 73 km southeast of Thenzawl, Mizoram, according to the National Centre of Seismology (NCS).
