World Health Organization warns people about Omicron not being common cold

Reports that Omicron has symptoms alike  to that of  common cold, the WHO on Wednesday, warned  strictly that it is not a common cold and should not be taken casually. The four most common symptoms of the Omicron are cough, fatigue, congestion and runny nose, stated by a US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention analysis. Till Jan 31, Mumbai shuts schools for classes 1 to 9 and 11

Due to increasing COVID-19 cases in Mumbai, on monday the civic body decided to shut down the schools of all mediums for classes 1 to 9 and also for class 11 till January 31.  The BMC said, students of classes 10 and 12 are excluded from this decision which means they can attend schools in-person.  Classes for students of 1 to 9 and 11 will continue in online mode as directed earlier, it said. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has decided to impose a weekend curfew in the city to control the spread of Covid-19. RBI releases holiday list for banks across all sectors

In January 2022, Banks across all private and public sectors will be closed for several days. There are 16 Holidays in January for sectors of banks depending upon the state they live as per a notification by RBI. This holiday includes 1st January and the remaining seven holidays are the weekend leaves. Banks remain opened on 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month. The RBI’s list of holidays are divided by three categories, i.e. state-wise celebrations, religious holidays and festival celebrations. Bank holidays come into effect as per a list released by the Reserve Bank of India.
