BMC temporarily suspended marriage registration service in Mumbai

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has temporarily suspended the marriage registration service due to the rising Covid-19 case across the city. BMC in a press note said, "Marriage registration service temporarily stopped due to current Covid-19 situation in Mumbai. The service will be restarted soon with the facility of appointment, date, and time." Mumbai reported 7,895 new cases of Covid-19 out of 57,534 tests conducted during the last 24 hours. Indian Railways redesignates post of `Guard` as `Train Manager` with immediate effect

The Indian Railways issued an order on Friday, saying it had decided to redesignate the post of 'guard' as 'train manager' with immediate effect. From now on, assistant guard will be known as assistant passenger train manager, goods guard as goods train manager, senior goods guard as senior goods train manager, senior passenger guard as senior passenger train manager and mail/express guard as mail/express train manager. Union Minister of Transport Nitin Gadkari has approved a draft gazette notification which will now make 6 airbags compulsory in private vehicles carrying up to 8 passengers.
