West Bengal reports 267 new COVID-19 cases

As per the report of the health department bulletin, west Bengal recorded 267 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, 16 less than the earlier day, taking the tally to 21,11,057. One more person died of the disease, taking the death toll from COVID-19 to 21,489, it said. The bulletin said active COVID-19 cases in west Bengal is 2,283, Where in a day 20,87,285 people recovered from the disease including 188 people. The recovery rate for COVID-19 is now 98.87 percent. 283 new COVID-19 cases and one death were reported in the state on Saturday.

India added 6,422 new coronavirus infections taking the total number of COVID-19 cases to 4,45,16,479, while active cases rose to 46,389, according to Union Health Ministry data on Thursday. The death toll reached 28,250 with 34 deaths, including 20 deaths matched by Kerala, data updated at 8 am said. West Bengal on Tuesday recorded 229 new Covid-19 cases taking the tally to 21,09,677, the state health department informed in its bulletin.
