Bengal Launches Credit Card for students; Loans Upto ₹ 10 Lakh

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced the launch of a credit card for students with a limit of ₹ 10 lakh. A student -- aged upto 40 -- who has lived in Bengal for 10 years will be eligible for the card, which will be applicable for getting a loan for highr studies.Ms Banerjee said at an online press conference,"No guarantor is needed for this loan. The state will stand guarantee." The Credit Card Cab be available for undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and post-doctoral study . The Supreme Court on Thursday directed the state boards to notify their respective assessment schemes for Class 12 students within 10 days, after the cancellation of physical examination, and also declare results before July 31. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is planning to conduct optional board exams any time between August 15 and September 15, for students who are not satisfied with evaluation criteria.The board also said that results for Class 12 Board Examination 2021 will be declared by July 31.
