The significant religious event, Ambubachi Mela which takes place every year in Assam Shaktipeeth Kamakhya Temple, Guwahati is to take place by June 22 to 26 June, 2024. Cyclone ‘Remal’ hits Guwahati, Assam

Few days back, An Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) had issued a warning notice from the India Meteorological Department, about heavy rainfall within the parts of northeast states. Assam government asks schools to avoid open space for morning prayers

Amidst increasing weather temperature in the state, Assam the education department has issued a notification to protect students from the heat wave. The Elementary Education Department of Assam's Kamrup Metropolitan District issued a notification which said schools need to ring the water bell three times every day during school hours so the students stay hydrated and remain protected from the scorching heat. Several injured during a communal clash

In Assam's Bajali district a dispute between two students took place which turned out to be communal clash. Several people turned violent against each other due to which many were injured and shifted to nearby hospital. According to the sources, to take control over the situation multiple police units were deployed in the area. Further, the reason behind the clash is not yet identified.

Family feud turns out to kill each other in Assam

A youth in Digboi, Assam identified as Amrit Thakur was brutally attacked by a group of miscreants who attempted to kill him. According to the sources, the horrifying incident took place at Digboi Chariali locality. The victim alleged that the attack was done by his wife's relatives due to family feud. Amrit has been seeking seperation from his wife. However, the victim is admitted to hospital and he is under treatment with severe injuries and critical condition.

State Education Minister informs about more posts to get opened for teachers
