Assam flood continues to havoc the state, non-stop heavy rainfall has devastated state's home, infrastructure, harmed animals, deaths and more. Assam CM inspect flood-effected areas at Dibrugarh city

Assam flood situation grims, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma takes a stock of the situation in Dibrugarh. The CM, on the previous day inspected the flood situation in Majuli and then visited HS Road in Dibrugarh city. He expressed his intention taking necessary measures in the flood effected areas. Assam flood situation worsen, death toll raises to 45

Assam is grilling under flood due to continuous rainfall in the region. Atleast eight rivers are flowing above the danger mark including Brahmaputra river at the highest peak. The bulletin board says, Assam flood has affected the region over 6.44 lakh people in 19 districts. Rescue teams are deployed in all the regions including the NDRF, SDRF, army, air force and local administration. Meanwhile, the death toll affected by flood has increased this year to 45 while one person is missing. Further, the rescued ones are taken to the relief camp.

Atul Bora emphasizes on enhancing farmers’ income by double cropping project

Assam Agriculture minister Atul Bora has launched double cropping project at Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat which will include 23 districts, covering 1,000 hectares of land across the state. Bora stressed the primary goal of the project is to boost farmers' income. Assam Police ready to implement new criminal laws in the state

Three new criminal laws to be implemented in Assam from July 1, 2024 which will emphasize on providing speedy justice rather than punishment.
