Atul Bora emphasizes on enhancing farmers’ income by double cropping project

Assam Agriculture minister Atul Bora has launched double cropping project at Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat which will include 23 districts, covering 1,000 hectares of land across the state. Bora stressed the primary goal of the project is to boost farmers' income. Double cropping is to cultivate fallow lands after the kharif rice harvesting season which will enhance its productivity, cropping intensity and soil fertility also this will reduce labour migration.
