The Mega Jhumoir Binandini 2025 program was held in the Kaliapani Tea Estate Playground from January 20 to January 21 for four days under the auspices of the Demow Co-District administration and the Cultural Affairs Department of the Government of Assam. Over 300 kids from the Demow Constituency took part in the program. According to a member of the expert committee, 102 students were chosen for the course. 3 arrested with animal parts in Assam’s Nagaon

Three persons were arrested with animal parts in Assam's Nagaon district on Wednesday, police said. Acting on a tip-off, a joint operation was conducted by the Eastern Wildlife Division, Nagaon Territorial Forest Division and the police in the Kathiatoli area and the arrests were made, they said. Tiger claws, tiger canines, tiger bones and an elephant tusk were recovered from them. The arrested poachers have been identified as Amar Hanse, Mahindra Barang and Prabin Changmai.
