Assam Police ready to implement new criminal laws in the state

Three new criminal laws to be implemented in Assam from July 1, 2024 which will emphasize on providing speedy justice rather than punishment. The laws are the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam. Assam DGP G.P. Assam flood: Death toll reaches 27 affected by flood

Continuous heavy rainfall in Assam has effected many villages in Assam due to rising of rain water within the state. A fresh report by Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), around 3,90,491 people were affected by the flood with rising death toll to 27. Assam Chief Minister to enhance power generation of 25-MW in Assam

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a joint venture with the Assam Power Generation Corporation and Oil India Limited has laid the foundation stone for a 25-MW solar power generation project at Namrup Thermal Power Station in Dibrugarh district. Accusation on Assam Congress MLAs on supporting BJP
