Canara Robeco Asset Management Company Limited (AMC), investment manager to Canara Robeco Mutual Fund and India’s second-oldest mutual fund, has brought its ‘Nivesh Bus Yatra’ to Bihar to promote financial literacy and educate investors about mutual fund investments.
The bus began its journey in Patna, travelled through Muzaffarpur and has now reached Darbhanga. It will subsequently visit Bhagalpur and Gaya, offering communities accessible information on investment concepts, long-term financial planning and common misconceptions about mutual funds through interactive sessions and digital resources.
Rajnish Narula, managing director and chief executive officer of Canara Robeco AMC, said informed investors contribute to a stronger financial ecosystem. The initiative, which has already covered 19 states and regions, aims to simplify investing and make financial knowledge accessible to more people.
GauravGoyal, chief business officer of Canara Robeco AMC, said the campaign seeks to provide practical guidance, address misconceptions and encourage a long-term investment mindset by engaging directly with communities.
In Darbhanga, the initiative could help improve awareness of formal investment options among local households, salaried individuals and small business owners. Greater financial literacy may encourage informed savings and investment decisions, although participation in mutual funds remains subject to individual financial circumstances and market risks.
The campaign reflects Canara Robeco AMC’s commitment to financial inclusion and expanding investor awareness in underserved regions.
