Boltt enters smartphone market with Ace 5G and Evo

Homegrown consumer technology brand boltt, from the house of Fire-Boltt, on Tuesday announced its entry into India’s smartphone market with the launch of the Ace 5G and Evo. The two smartphones will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart from September 1 at 12 pm.

The Ace 5G is priced from Rs 13,999, while the Evo starts at Rs 10,999. Under introductory Day 1 offers, prices will begin at Rs 12,999 and Rs 9,999, respectively.

Both devices feature a 6.79-inch 120Hz display, a 6000mAh battery and Android 16 with a clean, no-bloatware interface. They also come with Google Gemini-powered features, including Circle to Search and Google Lens, along with AI-powered camera capabilities.

The Ace 5G is powered by the UNISOC T8200 processor and features a 64MP main camera, while the Evo comes with the UNISOC T7250 processor, a 50MP main camera and a 2MP macro lens.

Founder and CEO Arnav Kishore said the company’s smartphone entry is aimed at making relevant technology more accessible to Indian consumers.

In Kolkata, the sub-Rs 15,000 smartphone segment remains highly competitive and price-sensitive, with consumers increasingly seeking larger batteries, 5G connectivity, high-refresh-rate displays and AI features. boltt’s aggressive introductory pricing could help it attract value-conscious buyers, although it will face strong competition from established smartphone brands already operating in the segment.
