The government said on Saturday that over 42 crore people had received financial assistance of Rs 65,454 crore so far under its Garib Kalyan Package.  The package was announced by the government in March to provide support in the form of free food grains and cash payment to women, poor senior citizens and farmers, against the damage caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown. Central and state governments will continue to monitor the implementation of the Garib Kalyan Package, the finance ministry said in a statement. The Meghalaya government has extended the night curfew from 9 pm to 5 am till June 30, officials said on Sunday. The night curfew was to be in force till Monday. FabiFlu is the first oral favipiravir - approved medication in India for the treatment of Covid-19,is said in a statement. It is a prescription based medication with recommended dose being 1,800 mg twice daily on day one, followed by 800 mg twice daily upto day 14, it added.
