UK PM ‘still in charge’ while in hospital with coronavirus

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was in hospital on Monday undergoing tests after suffering “persistent” symptoms of coronavirus for 10 days, but colleagues insisted he remains in charge of the government. The Conservative leader announced on March 27 that he had tested positive for COVID-19, and has been self-isolating in his flat above Downing Street ever since. On Sunday evening, on the advice of his doctor, the 55-year-old was admitted to hospital for tests in what his office said was a “precautionary step”. He still has a high temperature among other symptoms, officials say.

Jointly directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, the social drama film is inspired by the life of Bibhuti Chakraborty, a survivor of cancer. London Mayor Sadiq Khan slams commuters after 5 bus drivers die from coronavirus

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has fired a grave warning to London commuters after five bus drivers died of the coronavirus. Mr Khan said he is "absolutely devastated" the transport workers, who are yet to be named, died after testing positive for Covid-19. The worldwide number of officially confirmed fatalities from the novel coronavirus rose to 53,693 yesterday. More than 1,035,380 declared cases have been registered in 188 countries and territories. Of these cases, at least 201,500 are now considered recovered. Italy has 13,915 fatalities, with 115,242 infections. Spain has recorded 10,935 fatalities and 117,710 infections.
