Karnataka’s Covid recoveries cross 24-lakh mark

Continuing its upward trend, recovery of patients from Covid crossed the 24-lakh mark in Karnataka, while 320 patients succumbed to the infection in the last 24 hours, said the state health bulletin on Sunday. “With 25,659 patients discharged during the day, 24,09,417 recovered so far, while 12,209 new cases were registered on Saturday, taking the state’s Covid tally to 26,95,523, including 2,54,505 active cases,” said the bulletin. Bengaluru ‘most liveable city’

According to the Government's 'Ease of Living Index', Bengaluru has emerged as the most liveable city in India, followed by Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai and Surat. Out of the 49 cities ranked on livability index in the 'million plus population' category, Delhi figures 13th. More than 32 lakh people across 111 cities of India participated in a 'Citizen Perception Survey', holding a weightage of 30 per cent.Bengaluru catapulted from 58th rank in EoLI 2018 to the top, bumping down the former topper, Pune, to second place.
